PROGRAM ¦ MEET CURRENT FELLOWS
WHO IS ELIGIBLE ¦  HOW TO APPLY ¦  TERMS & CONDITIONS

Overview
CASIE provides opportunities for advanced study to individuals who are completing graduate study in the areas of education, foreign policy, languages or cross-cultural communication.  The programs are designed to expose graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral students to international education research and foster research on international education and policy. The program provides fellowship participants an opportunity to work one on one with CASIE staff, board members and members of CASIE’s extended academic community.

CASIE currently works with the International Baccalaureate Organization, Atlanta International School and Georgia Department of Education to promote international understanding through education programs, research, discussion, policy planning and workshops.

Additional assistantships may be available for specific research projects.  Contact CASIE for details.

The fellowship provides up to two years of support for research.  Research work should be conducted as part of a formal graduate-level program leading to a masters or doctoral degree at an accredited university.  Proposals will also be accepted for post-doctoral work.  Fellows are chosen on the basis of their leadership potential and commitment to international education, as well as for academic excellence. The fellow will need to select a Faculty member to act as their mentor. The stipend will be up to $6,000 per year plus research costs up to $2,000, dependent on proposed budget. During the fellowship period, the fellow will need to communicate regularly with CASIE staff and visit the CASIE offices in Atlanta, Georgia.  The fellow should plan to visit CASIE a minimum of two times, but should consider additional trips dependent on the scope of the proposed project.  During visits to CASIE, the fellow will meet with CASIE staff and board members, share research progress, and visit Atlanta International School for further exposure to inquiry in international education. All travel expenses should be included in the project budget. A specific travel plan will be established at the onset of the research.
