Suzanna Jemsby, Executive Director
Suzanna has a Master’s degree from Cambridge University, UK, in modern and medieval languages, and teaching and performance diplomas from the London College of Music. Prior to joining CASIE, she served for six years as the Head of Upper School at Atlanta International School. She has trained administrators and worked with schools across the North American region on the implementation of the IB Diploma Programme. She is fluent in English, German and French, and also speaks Italian and Swedish. In addition to her time at AIS, she has served as a language teacher of IB and Advanced Placement courses and as a university counselor at both the Frankfurt International School and the Internationale Schule Frankfurt-Rhein-Main.  She is also a freelance ‘cellist and published author of short stories.

 
 
Bobbi Kay, Associate Executive Director

Bobbi received her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University and later obtained a Masters in Communication Management from the University of Southern California. She has worked with CASIE since its founding when she worked at Atlanta International School. Bobbi joined the organization full-time after working for five years at Showtime Networks in sales and marketing. She worked as CASIE Director of Communications and Marketing before moving into her current role.  Bobbi is sadly mono-lingual and works tirelessly to ensure that most children will not suffer the way she has.

 

John Wilson, Language Program Developer 

John Wilson has a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University Atlanta, a specialist and master’ degree in Foreign Language Education from the University of Alabama and the State University of West Georgia, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies from Middle Tennessee State University.  Before joining CASIE, John was the DeKalb County School System IB District Coordinator K-12.  Prior to his arrival in DeKalb, John spent 21 years in North Georgia with Whitfield County Schools teaching foreign languages, ESOL, social studies, and serving as the IB DP Coordinator.  John also served as the Chair of the Georgia Project Teacher Advisory Committee.  In that position, he supervised the Georgia Project Mexican teacher program, headed a committee for Latino scholarships, worked with ESOL staff development and Spanish and English language programs.  He was also in charge of the Monterrey/Whitfield Student Exchange Program and led students on many travel programs throughout Europe. He has traveled extensively in Europe, North Africa, and Mexico. John is proficient in French, Spanish, German, and Italian with some Russian and Portuguese.

 

Rasamy Yin Vanijcharoenkarn, Financial Manager

Rasamy Yin holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University. She worked many years as a system engineer in research and development and has experience with immigration for international students. She is fluent in Chinese and English and has a good understanding of Thai and Lao. Her two children have gone through the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

 

Jennifer Long, Outreach and Events Sr. Manager

Jennifer Long received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Hampton University and obtained a Masters in Business Administration in Marketing from Pepperdine University. Prior to joining CASIE, Jennifer spent 10 years in the entertainment industry managing affiliate regional sales and marketing for organizations like MTV Networks, The Weather Channel and SiTV. Jennifer is passionate about the opportunities that will shape global education and  is eager to create cross cultural awareness and collaboration.

 

Odette Díaz Schuler, Office and Outreach Manager 

Odette Schuler has a Master’s degree in Museum Studies from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Emory University.  Prior to joining CASIE, she was privileged to work for such institutions as the Michael C. Carlos Museum of Art and Archaeology in Atlanta, GA;  The Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History in Washington, DC; and Explora Science Center in Albuquerque, NM.  She was born in Cuba and has lived in and traveled throughout Europe and Latin American, but has much more of the world to see and taste.  Completely fluent in Spanish and English, she can also hold her own in Catalan, French, and Italian.  Both of her children currently attend an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school.

 

Karen Shih, Program Coordinator 

Karen Shih has a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. She worked as a research assistant in Duluth, Atlanta, and southern Germany before realizing her true passion lay in education development. Karen is fluent in Mandarin, has studied Spanish and German, and knows how to say, “Where is the bathroom?” in Korean. Her hobbies include: rock climbing, cycling, ultimate Frisbee, swing dancing, and drawing ambigrams. She has visited Taiwan and much of Europe, but would like to see so much more of the world.
