Scholarship Programs

The Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education (CASIE) works with educators to promote international understanding through education programs, research, discussion, policy planning and workshops. CASIE offers scholarships for each of its workshops for educators who are committed to promoting international education. CASIE defines international education as an education that prepares all learners to be active global citizens who believe that they can make a difference and have the skills to do so, at local and global levels, through language learning, cultural understanding and the ability to examine situations from a range of perspectives.

Scholarships are granted based on the educator’s ability to promote CASIE’s mission. The scholarships cover partial or full registration costs. All applicants are notified by at least one month prior to the workshop. Recipients may also be eligible for a stipend towards travel, lodging and food which is given after the workshop upon completion of a written reflection.
