The programs of the Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education are offered at the Atlanta International School, unless otherwise noted. Accommodations are recommended but they are the responsibility of the workshop participant. CASIE will send you a registration confirmation after payment has been processed. If payment is received online via credit card, the online receipt (exemplifying Balance Due: $0) serves as final confirmation. Please, do not purchase your airfare until CASIE has sent you a final confirmation email. CASIE reserves the right to withdraw any session due to low enrollment. All refunds will be processed within 60 days after the close of the workshop/conference.

Substitutions
Please limit any substitutions/name changes to a minimum and notify CASIE ASAP of such changes to info@casieonline.org. All changes must be received in writing. Include the name and registration number (as well as the subject and category if for an IB workshop) of the registrant who is not attending, and provide the replacement registrant’s name and email. Registrations without a valid name and email or completed substitution are subject to cancellation at the beginning of normal registration period.

Payment
Payments and Proof of Payments are accepted in the form of Money Order, Credit Card, Checks, Purchase Orders, Check Requests and Wire Transfers. Purchase Orders and Check Requests may be sent via email or fax. CASIE reserves the right to cancel registrations without FULL payment (check, credit card, money order, bank wire; purchase order does NOT qualify as full payment) within one month of the date that the participant is registered. Early bird registrations without full payment by May 31st for summer workshops and September 30th for fall workshops lose the early bird registration rate and are automatically charged at the normal registration period rate. All unpaid registrations in the final month before workshop dates are subject to cancellation due to waitlist demands. Paid waitlist participants will be accepted in lieu of unpaid registrations from one month before workshop dates.

Cancellations
All cancellations must be received in writing. Any refund for a cancellation made before the refund requests deadline will be assessed a $50 cancellation fee for IB Workshops (including IB Orientation), or an $80 cancellation fee for the Project Zero Conference and Global Language Convention. The refund request deadlines for various CASIE events  are below:

  • Summer IB workshops: early bird registration rate ends April 30, and regular registration rate begins May 1st. Refunds given only until April 30.
  • Fall IB workshops: early bird registration rate ends August 31, and regular registration rate begins September 1. Refunds given only until August 31.
  • Global Language Convention 2012: Refunds given only until February 1st, 2012
  • IB Orientation 2012: Refunds given only until February 6th, 2012

No refund will be given for a cancellation made beyond the refunds request deadline. Any applicable cancellation refunds will be processed after the workshop and issued in the form of check regardless of payment type. There can be no transfer of funds outside of the calendar year. Refunds are not available if a participant does not attend the workshop. Click here to read CASIE’s policy on partial refund eligibility due to emergencies. If weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances require the cancellation of a conference or workshop, CASIE will make every effort to reschedule the same event for another date and your registration will be moved. CASIE does not assume financial responsibility for travel expenses incurred by participants due to event cancellation.

Waitlisting
Waitlist requests are processed in the order in which they are received. No cancellation charges apply if you waitlist yourself and cancel your registration PRIOR to accepting a spot should it become available. Notification will be given via phone call or email to participant (or IB Coordinator if for an IB workshop registration) if availability for a subject becomes open. The participant (or the IB Coordinator) must accept this spot via verbal or written confirmation immediately. If a confirmation is not received within given period as determined by CASIE, the offer becomes null and void. All registration and cancellation policies are applicable upon verbal or written confirmation of accepting a spot off the waitlist. Early bird registrations on waitlist continue to pay early bird registration rate if moved off waitlist.
